A delegation from the WSSC–UCP participated in the 2025 EUCOCO Conference in Paris, standing alongside international partners, legal experts, and global supporters of the Saharawi cause. Our presence reaffirmed a shared and unwavering commitment: the right of the Saharawi people to freedom, dignity, and self-determination.
During the conference, the WSSC–UCP delegation delivered a strong and principled message to all parties involved in the conflict, including:
A Clear Call to Former President Trump and U.S. Companies
We emphasized that:
- The unilateral 2020 proclamation attempting to recognize Morocco’s occupation of Western Sahara has no legal standing under international law.
- Any U.S. companies operating or profiting in the occupied territories are doing so illegally, violating international norms and contributing to the exploitation of Saharawi land and resources.
The delegation urged all U.S. institutions and corporations to:
- Immediately cease activities in the occupied zone.
- Respect international law,
- And align their actions with global human rights standards.
Growing Support for the Saharawi Struggle

Throughout EUCOCO, the WSSC–UCP team observed a strong and expanding international solidarity with the Saharawi people. Organizations from Europe, Africa, Latin America, and North America reaffirmed their full support for:
- Self-determination,
- End to colonial occupation,
- Justice for the Saharawi people.
The participation of WSCC–UCP highlights the increasing role of American civil society in challenging injustice and amplifying Saharawi voices on the global stage.
Together with our partners, we remain committed to advancing peace, human rights, and a just future for Western Sahara.
